so lately my life has been pretty simple. it consists mostly of riding my bike around town and ending up here at the Venice Grind...the local coffee shop hang out/art gallery. they have free internet too.
the setup - an iced coffee grinder, staying accessible with the iPhone, and reading material (currently Freakonomics by Steven D. Levitt and Stephen J. Dubner)

Naya...by Ariyanna.
my 11 year old niece Ari asked if she could play around with my camera when i was over for dinner. she snapped this awesome shot of my other niece. what a natural shooter...maybe cameras run in the family.

thanks to everyone...
many many tanked ewes from your pal marcus to all the viewers and supporters.
the site has been live for one month and has about 400 unique visitors and over 1,300 hits so far! so this is my personal thanks for taking the time to stop by and check out the site. it's still in it's infant form so hopefully it will evolve over time with more things to offer, like better content for instance.
love,

almost almost famous
this month's issue of ICG (International Cinematographer's Guild) Magazine featured an article on Quarterlife and guess who was at the right place at the right time? me and my bleached hair.
page 37...me standing behind the talented DP, my buddy John O'Shaughnessy. holla.

almost famous
your pal Marcus was interviewed by Intel about work, inspirations, and what processor i've been using to help out lol. other artists are all up on the new and improved website. they didn't resize the photos correctly on my stuff though, so it all looks stretched. lame. you can see the profile here.
please watch the short "Cubicle" i shot for featured/talented FX artist and my good friend Mike Landry.
thanks to Susan for thinking of me.

May Day Labor Movement
International Worker's Day aka May Day (the world labour day) celebration and rally that went through all of downtown LA to city hall. 8,500 people from different organizations marched for labor rights. pretty amazing. why do us Americans have Labor Day in September? cause the government thinks they're too cool to celebrate with the rest of the world probably.
